Coral Collective AI is a mobile app designed to foster community involvement in coral reef conservation. By facilitating direct contributions to coral health monitoring, this user-friendly app connects community members with the mission of reef restoration. The app supports divers and conservationists by streamlining data collection and analysis, ultimately enhancing efforts to protect and regenerate coral ecosystems.
Objectives and Goals
Problem Addressed
Coral reefs are under severe threat due to climate change, pollution, and overfishing. Conservation organizations struggle with the labor-intensive task of monitoring coral health, which involves manually reviewing large volumes of coral imagery. This project aimed to create a solution that would simplify data collection while engaging the broader community in coral conservation.

This project aimed to create a solution that would simplify data collection while engaging the broader community in coral conservation.
Primary Goals
(1) To develop a mobile app that enables divers to upload coral images in bulk, transforming this visual data into actionable insights. (2) To establish a platform that engages community members, encouraging them to participate in coral conservation efforts. (3) To support coral conservation organizations with an efficient tool that streamlines monitoring and enhances the effectiveness of their restoration activities.
